Caravanners assured of a bright future with Crown Darts

On 21st August Jesse Brough, creator of Crown Darts attended the Buccaneer Owners Club Pershore Rally, to run a small lawn darts competition with the members. The event attracted 27 entries for the competition and after five knockout rounds, the final was played between Alan Alexander and John Rushton.

A Standard Set of Crown Darts was awarded to John, scoring 15;8 against Alan, who battled hard and made John work for the victory.

The standard of play in general was of a high quality, yet everyone had time to enjoy everyone had time to enjoy t turned out to be a successful event. The competition rules were for a three -ring format and 80gram weights were used due to the hard dry surface conditions.

Jesse reported, 'We have attended a number of caravan rallies this year and had a lot of fun." He added, "The best success we have obtained is that our design of Lawn Darts have been approved to beused in competition play at the National Rally 2002 of the Caravan Club at Weston Park, Staffs and the National Feast of Lanterns Rally, held in North Wales on behalf of the Camping and Caravanning Club."

Caravan Club members have received the Crown Darts design with open arms, since the interchangeable parts, weights and replacement features give more versatility when confronted with differing playing pitch conditions - giving better results.

The 2003 programme holds a promising list of events similar to this one such as the Irish Division Region National Rally in Ballymena, the Welsh National Rally, Southern Centres Rally and others to name but a few.
