introduced to the UK and is proving a major hit with families and friends
who like to spend quality time together.
The game requires little space with a pitch usually marked out 6 metres by 4. In brief, the game can be described as a mixture between strategic chess and skittles. Kubb can be played on grass lawn, beach sand or gravel. The game is played by up to 12 players, divided into two teams, from ages 8 to 80. So it can contribute to the success of an organised family, club or pub event such as a barbecue, birthday or dinner party. Kubb is simple and fun to play. That's why it's so successful! Each team stand behind their back line of Kubbs at opposite ends of the pitch and throw the six batons towards their opponents back liners to try to knock them down. Once your opponents' back liners are fallen, it's time to knock down the King, to win the game. In Sweden, Kubb has a following of enthusiasts who play serious tournaments.
